The Maize Tree Board holds an annual Arbor Day celebration in April each year. Tree planting is a highlight of the event. The Maize Tree Board is instrumental in providing area citizens with valuable information regarding care of trees and other plant life.
Maize has an annual City Wide Garage Sale Day each April. Several of the sales also sell food and snacks. Citizens register their sale with City Hall and pay a fee, which covers the cost of advertising, maps, etc.
Celebrate the season with us at the 2025 Fall Festival on Saturday, September 27! The day kicks off with a parade and continues with a vendor fair, inflatables, face painting, a petting zoo, live music, great food, and more. We’ll also feature an outdoor movie—details coming soon! For more information check out the Maize Fall Festival website or our Facebook page. Interested in sponsorships or participating in the festival? Please reach out to Tristin Terhune at tterhune@maizeks.gov.
